sky park, marina bay sands | may 8, 2011

this weekend, we took my mom-in-law who is visiting us this month to sky park at marina bay sands. this is also the first time for me, hubby & naia to visit it. we waited until the sun sets a bit so we can enjoy the view in a more pleasant weather. it has been scorching hot in singapore for the past few days.

as soon as we got on top of the skypark, we could see the singapore view. the first thing we can see was the singapore flyer. naia right away pointed the flyer and said.. “look mama, i went there.. i went there” .. she did indeed. last month, we took her to ride the singapore flyer for her birthday, because she kept on asking to ride it since she was 2 years old. my parents were in town too, so we all went there and enjoyed the view.

naia was so excited inside the skypark, she kept on running and looking around (despite the height) and wanted to view the telescope too. we stayed until the sun sets and enjoyed the nice view of the sun hanging over the singapore skyline.

the girl loooves to go into a shop and trying out items. from shoes, clothes, even glasses. she acts as if she knows what she wants. looks like i’m raising a lil’ shophalic .. LOL!

this is my third mother’s day (indonesian version) since i became a mom, the first time hubby bought me flowers to celebrate it. since a year ago, december 22 becomes not only a celebration of indonesian women everywhere, but it’s also a celebration of the birth of my “second baby”, the urban mama. happy 1st anniversary, TUM! it was really a fun first year adventure and i look forward for another exciting ride for years to come. thanks for the friendship, ninit & thalia. selamat hari mama!

early november, we had a lazy sunday and went to have brunch. while waiting for our food, i put out my iphone 4 as an attempt to make naia sit still. since i’m not about to give the phone to naia, instead i turned on the face camera so naia can see herself on the phone and started posing. so we ended up clicking away taking pics in many poses.. priceless!

daddy’s little girl wants to copy everything daddy does, including the way he dresses. one fine sunday, we were about to go out for lunch and a little meet up with a friend. as usual, hubby dresses up casually just like he always does on weekends. as i dressed naia up, she requested to wear a black t-shirt and denim pants, just like papa .. topped with a cap.

during our “mudik” holiday in september, we took a short trip to bali. being a tourist that he is, hubby always keeps a digicam handy and captures any moment as part of his travel diary. turns out our little one – who is at the stage of copying everything we do at 2.5 years old - did the same thing. she even claimed a mini digicam (that i got for free as a gift) as “her camera”. and there she was clicking away.

one morning, naia insisted that she wants to do her own make-up. of course she was copying mama who was getting ready for work. she picks up all the tools and make-ups and apply them to her face.

ikea, tampines – singapore

on our recent visit to ikea restaurant for lunch, the sleepy naia was playing pretend. she jumped into the trolley and we placed 2 big pillows so she can rest while we took a walk to the exit. then she placed her head to the pillow and act like she was asleep inside the trolley .. i captured the picture while she was pretending to sleep inside the trolley and it made such a funny picture.
